I’m the lead photographer and positive vibes guru of The Brava Studio. I’m obsessed with helping women own and reclaim their most passionate, powerful self. Sessions with me are light heartened, fun, and full of laughter. I’m excited to get to know you!
Finding outfits for your boudoir shoot is such a wonderful experience. You get to browse for fun lingerie, jewelry, shoes, and costumes, all while treating yourself to some pieces that you may not normally purchase. After years of working in the industry, I kind of consider myself to be a boudoir shopping aficionado (you should see how many items are in my cart right now). I’ve searched high and low for all the best spots, and to make it easier for you, I’ve created a list of some of my favorite places where you can find clothing for your boudoir shoot.
Upon booking your boudoir photoshoot, you’ll receive our planning guide magazine. Here, we extensively list links to all our favorite online shops and break them down into categories based on style and budget.
From local boutiques to online shops and more – here are 3 recommendations to get you started:
First things first, always shop local whenever possible. These places are part of our communities, and it’s important to help give them business. Some of my favorite boudoir outfits I’ve gotten over the years have been from local shops, and you’ll come to find that they have some unique pieces that you simply can’t find online.
It’s no secret that Amazon sells basically everything under the sun. And after searching the site, I’ve come to find that they have some fantastic pieces you can use for your boudoir shoot. One thing I love about browsing Amazon for outfits is that they have something for everyone. No matter what type of look and style you’re going for, you will find it here.
To help get you started, I created an Amazon Shopping List of boudoir pieces that speak to a variety of styles and personalities.
You’re probably thinking, “Nice tip Whit” but hear me out girl. Boudoir is all about showcasing you and your personality. What better way to do this than to raid your home closet first! Your favorite t-shirt, something you snag from your S.O., killer heels or some knee high boots….the options at home are more plentiful than you think.
If you’ve looked everywhere for pieces for your shoot and just can’t seem to find anything you like, I suggest taking your search to Etsy. People design and sell some truly amazing pieces and accessories on Etsy, most of which aren’t sold in stores. Etsy is hands down the place to go if you want something unique and one of a kind for your photo shoot.
If you’ve searched near and far for outfits for your boudoir photoshoot and just can’t seem to find anything that fits your style, I’ve got your back! It’s my personal mission come photo shoot day to show you pieces you would have never picked for yourself; and ultimately end up loving! No matter if you’re going for a look that’s light and airy, one that’s a little edgier, or something in between – I promise that we’ll put together a look that you’ll love. My size inclusive closet offers styles from XS – 4X.
Now it’s your turn! A quick search will kickstart your hunt to find clothing for your boudoir shoot.
