I’m the lead photographer and positive vibes guru of The Brava Studio. I’m obsessed with helping women own and reclaim their most passionate, powerful self. Sessions with me are light heartened, fun, and full of laughter. I’m excited to get to know you!
We often get asked, “What’s the best thing I can wear to my boudoir session?” Thankfully, there are SO many great options for you to bring along, many of them not being lingerie at all! The most important thing you can do is be sure to try everything on before your session; this ensures you know it’s a good fit.
Bring with at least one bra and panty set. One piece lingerie and strappy sexy ensembles are also great choices! The more items you bring, the most options with images you’ll have. Show your selections to your photographer when you arrive for input if you’re working with a limited time frame that won’t allow multiple outfit changes.
We never recommend you bring everything in one color. Black is always a classic choice but those little red numbers…trust us, you’ll be happy to included it in your rotation.
Don’t forget to bring something that belongs to your significant other. Some of our favorites over the years have been flannels, jerseys, a tie, button up shirt, gaming headphones and even a racing jumpsuit! The more creative you get, the more excited they’ll be with the gift they’re receiving.
Think they’ll enjoy seeing you in your favorite pair of cowboy boots or that necklace they gave you for your birthday? Bring it along! Look through your closet for a see-through blouse, a cozy sweater you can pull off your shoulder or even that crop top you look smashing in and add them to your bag. If you’re looking to enhance your curves, bustiers are a great place to start. Be sure it has built in cups if you’re smaller than a size C as those without cups tend to make you look flat chested in photos and we don’t want that!
Don’t forget to grab a pair of high heels! They really are the best way to accent those long beautiful legs of yours which, after all, is what we’re going for! Nude goes with everything and black is always a great choice as well. We suggest you stay away from wedges or platforms though, as these just don’t photograph as well as a good pair of stilettos. Don’t shy away from heels with straps, studs or any kind of bling…these are some of our favorites!
Jewelry is another great prop for your session. Statement necklaces and long pieces that can add some welcomed drama to your photos are always a great choice. Feel free to bring two earring options as well.
