I’m the lead photographer and positive vibes guru of The Brava Studio. I’m obsessed with helping women own and reclaim their most passionate, powerful self. Sessions with me are light heartened, fun, and full of laughter. I’m excited to get to know you!
One of the reasons I love boudoir shoots is all of the different possibilities that they bring. Looking for some classing lingerie shots? Yes, queen! Ready for some empowering photos in your birthday suit? You go, girl! No matter what type of boudoir experience you’re looking to have, we cannot WAIT to make your vision come true.
One thing that women typically ask me is what they should bring to their boudoir shoot. Well, depending on what type of style you’re going for, the list may vary a little bit. But in general, there are some things that I suggest everyone bring. From clothing that boosts your confidence to fun accessories and more – here are 8 things you should bring to your boudoir shoot:
No matter if it’s your first time doing a boudoir photoshoot or if you’re a repeat offender, I promise that you’re going to be tired by the end of your shoot. Posing for boudoir is hard (but very rewarding), and you’ll want water to help you stay hydrated. Plus, drinking plenty of water helps make your skin glow!
It’s important that you bring a makeup-free face to your photoshoot so that we can help turn you into a full-blown boudoir queen. However, if this photoshoot is doubling as a gift to someone other than yourself, you may plan on washing off your airbrush makeup before leaving the studio. In that case, be sure to pack your everyday makeup bag so you can reset before heading off the work or the grocery store.
Doing your hair can be very time-consuming and stressful. Instead of trying to do the perfect hair yourself, relax and let our onsite professional stylist handle this for you! It’s your day, and you deserve to be pampered before your shoot.
Your boudoir shoot is ALL about you, babe! So, why not bring some fun accessories that highlight your style and personality? Want to bring some flashy body jewelry, sassy stilettos, hats, or another accessory? Please, do! Your photos are going to turn out amazing.
The morning of your photoshoot you’ll want to live by “less is best” when it comes to clothing. Skipping the bra, panties and even socks is the best way to arrive to at the studio. Your photos will turn out the best when you’ve spent the morning wearing loose-fitting clothing that don’t leave lines. Forget your watch at home too! Think cozy t-shirt, sweater and shorts or pants that don’t hug you. No leggings allowed!
Even if it’s your first boudoir shoot, bring your confidence! I always expect some nervous jitters but I promise those will melt away as soon as we get started. Boudoir shoots are meant to be fun, and the entire shoot is about you. Even if you don’t feel the most confident when you arrive, I’ll be there to hype you up and let you know that you’re killing it.
The last thing you want is to be hangry during or after your boudoir shoot. So, why not bring some light snacks along? Enjoying a piece of fruit, nuts, string cheese, or a granola bar can help give you a serious energy boost. Not to mention something for the drive home once you realize how much fun you just had!
It’s imperative that you come to your boudoir shoot with a positive mindset. You’re beautiful, intelligent, and a freaking bombshell; don’t EVER forget that! You’ll be fantastic at your shoot, and I’m here to guide you through the entire process. P.S. your photos are going to look ah-mazing!
